January 2011 - The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center held its Fourth periodical meeting for the Collaborative Innovation Network “COIN” on January 10th, 2011 in Smart Village. The meeting was attended by TIEC CEO Dr. Tarek Al-Saadany as well as more than 100 representatives of establishments and companies working in the field of communications.

The meeting addressed the concept of competition, corporate development through examining factors controlling competition between difference establishments, corporate structure, and necessary alterations aimed to continually boost competitive capacity for companies.

Moreover, the meeting stressed that development, improving company productivity, creating a conductive work environment where the spirit of competition prevails boosting the concept of national competition.

Moreover, the meeting broached cooperation opportunities with Orange Group Innovation Center and the role it plays in the field of open innovation. Such role assists establishments to draw upon the ideas of others to promote their products and services and reach out to new markets.

The meeting was set to examine chances for boosting innovation and boosting growth through open source software and the subsequent positive effect represented in lowering the costs of SME specialized .

In innovation in emerging countries. A new vision was relayed out for CEOs to help them conduct research and development projects for their companies with minimum cost. Such vision will also be applicable for SMEs.

The meeting also addressed how Egyptian companies could gain competitive advantages through manufacturing products and innovating RFID applications which spread on a large scale during the past years and achieved a breakthrough in business.

Finally, this meeting aimed to introduce attendees with the latest innovations using this technology and its own standards in terms of creating applications, calling for new applications using this technology, and establishing a coalition with companies providing this technology and Egypt.
